Counterparty Community Update, November 10th

Another exciting week has passed at Counterparty filled with community collaboration, development efforts and creative ideas. Once again, we’re bringing you the most important news and updates from this past week.

From the team We have updated our job listing with a new position - Generalist Software Developer. This position will work with our existing team of two full‐time developers, Adam Krellenstein and Ouziel Slama on evolving the Counterparty protocol, developing counterpartyd, Counterwallet and new software, conducting software testing, writing documentation, and more. If you’re interested in joining our team and think you have the skills and the passion for this position, be sure to contact Adam at adamk@counterpaty.io. Secondly, we have put out a 125 XCP bounty for the Counterwallet Russian translation. 100 XCP will be awarded for the translation of the wallet while 25 XCP will be awarded for the full review of the translation. Note that these two tasks must be done by separate individuals. For more information on this bounty visit our forum thread. Another important update is the integration of Bountysource with our GitHub repositories. All GitHub issues are now automatically updated with a link to the bounty. This enables anyone to create a bounty on a bug or a feature they want to see resolved or help with development and claim the bounty.

Development Updates As explained in the Development Updates post last week, we have disabled BTC trading in Counterwallet to improve user experience and focus our efforts on developing a better and more reliable trading system. If you want to buy XCP, the easiest way is to use one of the centralized exchanges listed here. Furthermore, as requested by Vennd, we have disabled the Buy XBTC option in Counterwallet.
